A Web-Enabled Data Visualization Tool

The main purpose of this tool is to develop and implement a simple and easy to use Web-based data visualization and data delivery system for remote sensing-derived, GIS-based, or non-spatial information. This Web site is currently serving both raster (satellite and airborne images) and more than 250 vector layers. Some of the important functionalities include clipping the area of interest and downloading to local machine, online digitization, and several online queries defined by the user. The software tools used to create this application include ArcView GIS and Internet Map Server (ArcView IMS) technology, HTML, Java and Avenue programming.
